Namforce, Correctional Service Club in strategic alliance

Managing Director of Namforce Martin Shaanika and Commissioner General of Namibian Correctional Service and Chairperson of Board of Directors of the Correctional Service Club General Raphael Hamunyela have signed a memorandum of agreement which signifies Namforce’s deliberate efforts to ensure that Namibians are covered while on duty by ensuring the protection and safe keeping of the CSC employees.

At the signing, Shaanika highlighted the importance of collaboration as well as the affordability and flexibility of its employee benefits.

“This collaboration between NAMFORCE Life Insurance and the Correctional Service Club (CSC) represents a profound commitment to the well-being, security, and future of our clients. It underscores the critical importance of comprehensive financial protection and support in times of need. Let me elaborate on why this partnership is particularly significant,” he noted. He further mentioned that being the youngest and the only Namibian owned insurance company, their expression of appreciation from CSC shows their trust in their service.

He noted the importance of employee wellness and ensuring support from CSC.

“In recent years, we have encountered heartbreaking situations where some correctional officers have passed away, leaving their families without the necessary resources to cover funeral and other related expenses. Similarly, when a family member of one of our officers passes away, many of our officers have struggled to secure the financial resources to manage these unforeseen expenses. In response to these challenges, the Namibian Correctional Service, through its Correctional Service Club, decided to research group schemes as a means to alleviate the financial burden on officers and their families during these times of need and Namforce Life Insurance was identified as the most suitable service provider, leading to this Agreement,” he said.

Furthermore, Snr. Chief Correctional Officer, Gideon Shikeshu confirmed that this partnership goes beyond an agreement but the provision to their families. “Apart from it being affordable on the market, it is also has flexibility for us to choose our option of preference.
