Award-winning media personality Robyn Nakaambo has landed a role where she will debut as an event anchor in South Africa. She will anchor at the 2nd Annual Basadi in Music Awards (BIMA) in Johannesburg, South Africa on August 12 2023 at the Joburg Theatre.
The BIMA’s are known for celebrating and honouring women in music across various spheres.
“I am immensely gratified to be interviewing nominees and honorary guests on the red carpet and backstage throughout the award ceremony. I have manifested working beyond borders in my capacity as an MC or Host and that day is fast approaching. Now the handwork of preparation begins,” she said in a social media post.
The Basadi in Music Awards are South African music awards show in association with South African Music Performance Rights Association, created by Hloni Modise in 2022. The awards will celebrate and honour women’s in South African music industry.
This week, the awards announced Nando’s, a well-known peri-peri chicken eatery known for both its humour and taste, as a sponsor for a brand-new category dubbed Emerging Artist of the Year.
This year, media personality and actress Khanyi Mbau will serve as the host.
