SAS 2030 launches Namibian operations to boost local oil and gas sector

SAS 2030, a Namibian-registered staffing and operations support company, has officially announced the launch of its local operations in Windhoek and Walvis Bay. The company specialises in providing workforce solutions to the oil, gas, and mining industries.

The launch marks a significant step in the expansion of the SAS International Group, which was established in the late 2000s and has since become a leading African provider of staffing solutions in the energy sector. With a strong presence in West and Central Africa, the group has built a reputation for promoting local content and empowering national workforces.

The establishment of SAS 2030 in Namibia reflects the growing importance of the country in the global oil and gas industry. The company aims to strengthen local capacity, support national development goals, and offer tailored human resources solutions to international operators and service providers.

Group CEO and Chairman of SAS International Group, Jean-Noel Makaya, stated, “The launch of SAS 2030 Namibia represents an important milestone in our growth trajectory. Our mission is to partner with both government and industry to ensure that local expertise is developed and sustained.”

Salomon Kalondo has been appointed Country Manager for Namibia and will lead efforts to integrate international expertise with local needs, ensuring operations are compliant, sustainable, and value driven.

The launch event will take place from 15:00 to 18:00 at The Lounge, Windhoek Golf Club. The occasion will bring together representatives from government, industry, and the corporate sector.

SAS 2030 brings over 15 years of group-level experience and a network of international partners to Namibia, with a focus on knowledge transfer, local empowerment, and operational excellence.
