Connected set to drill Swakopmund targets in Q2

Connected Minerals is planning for an initial drilling program in Q2 2025 at the Swakopmund Project in Namibia, after confirming priority drill targets.

The new targets have come after completing a horizontal-loop electromagnetic survey at the project, which aimed to delineate paleochannels with potential calcrete hosted uranium mineralisation.

Connected, which has a market capitalisation of US$12.27 million, says the survey confirmed potential paleochannels, particularly along four of the lines completed.

The deepest and widest paleochannel has been identified along line one, with a width of 600m and a depth of 18m.

CEO Warrick Clent says the company’s exploration strategy in Namibia is delivering promising results with the survey confirming paleochannels within the licence area.

“Swakopmund is now our second exploration licence in Namibia, alongside Etango North-East, where our maiden sampling program has already delivered high-grade uranium mineralisation,” Clent says.

“Together, these projects provide Connected Minerals with considerable potential to discover a significant uranium deposit within a region renowned for world-class projects.”

The Swakopmund Project, covering 125km2, sits in close proximity to the Orano’s Trekkopje and Klein Trekkopje deposits which boast a resource of 340 million tonnes @ 140 parts per million triuranium octoxide.

Connected Minerals believes the project demonstrates the potential for calcrete-hosted uranium deposits within channels running off nearby hot granites with prospective targets located in the northeast corner of the project.

Connected Minerals is a mineral explorer focused on uranium in Namibia.
