Bank Windhoek’s Managing Director, Baronice Hans has announced Toini Muteka’s appointment as the Bank’s Executive Officer for Human Capital effective 1 October 2024.
In her new role, Muteka will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the Bank, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent and change management, organisational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. As the Human Capital Executive, Muteka will provide strategic leadership by articulating human capital needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders, and directors.
Muteka holds an MBA, a Postgraduate Diploma from Stellenbosch University, and a Bachelor of Technology in Human Resources from Namibia University of Science and Technology.
With a robust background in the financial industry, Muteka has showcased her capabilities in various leadership positions. Prior engagements include Old Mutual, the Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) and Vivo Energy Namibia where she held various roles within the Human Capital value chain. Muteka has actively contributed to numerous boards and trustee roles, enriching her leadership profile.
