It is all systems go for the Windhoek Karneval come the 4th of April this year.
This was announced at the NBL WIKA Kick Off event held this past weekend.
The Windhoek Karneval is celebrating its 70th Jubilee year in 2024.
Speaking at the event, NBL’s Corporate Affairs Manager Surihe Gaomas-Guchu announced that it will sponsor N$110 000 towards this upcoming highlight on the social calendar of all Namibians.
“The WIKA brings together Namibians of all walks of life to enjoy the true heritage of our German tradition which is also part and parcel of our Namibian cultural tapestry for many years. Such occasions also give our WIKA revellers the opportunity to quench their thirst by enjoying a nice cold Hansa Draught beer, including NBL’s the wider portfolio of beverages we have on offer to our customers and consumers,” said Gaomas-Guchu.
“It is in this spirit of sharing the joy of true togetherness that NBL remains a Namibian company that supports cultural events of this nature. Today’s NBL WIKA Kick Off opens the way for all Namibians to look forward to the actual fun- fair Karneval procession down Independence Avenue and the much-anticipated NBL WIKA Bierfest at the SKW Sports Ground on the 6th of April 2024 here in Windhoek.”
This comes after NBL in partnership with the WIKA organizing committee was granted the naming rights to the Bierfest event to be known as the NBL WIKA Bierfest.
Befitting to the magnitude of this event, this year’s theme is “Applaus, Applaus, Vollgas Voraus” which means “Applause, Applause, full steam ahead!”
