The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF) has announced its official launch, marking a significant milestone in its mission to empower Namibian youth to lead the charge towards a sustainable energy future.
With a clear vision and steadfast commitment, NYEF aims to inspire, educate, and provide opportunities for young people to actively participate in the energy sector, driving socioeconomic development and environmental sustainability.
NYEF’s objectives include providing educational resources, fostering innovation and leadership, facilitating networking and collaboration, and providing scholarships and mentorship programs to support youth in becoming energy leaders and change-makers.
“We believe that by mobilizing the energy and enthusiasm of young people, we can make a significant impact on the future of Namibia’s energy landscape. Therefore, we call on young people across the country to join us in our mission and become active members of NYEF. Together, we can work towards a greener, more prosperous future for all.
“Furthermore, we extend our invitation to relevant stakeholders, including government and ministry agencies, industry professionals and experts, media organizations, and local and international organizations, to join us in our efforts. We seek their guidance, support, and collaboration in various initiatives, including funding and sponsorship, providing resources and information, offering scholarships and other opportunities, and sharing expertise to help us achieve our goals and make a meaningful impact in the energy sector,” said Fanuel Shinedima, Founder & Executive Director at NYEF.
