FNB Namibia appoints Nesdha De Jongh as Head of SME Banking

FNB Namibia has announced the appointment of Nesdha De Jongh as the new Head of SME Banking, effective 1 November 2024.

A seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in risk management, compliance, and SME banking, Nesdha brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Head of SME Banking at FNB Namibia, effective 1 November 2024. Having held key positions at Nedbank, NAMFISA, Letshego Bank, and FNB, he is well-positioned to drive the strategic growth of the bank’s SME portfolio. Nesdha’s deep understanding of regulatory risk management and passion for small business development will be pivotal in enhancing FNB’s offerings to SMEs.

His leadership aims to foster innovation and give SMEs the tools they need to thrive in an evolving business landscape. Nesdha also serves as a board member of the Economics Association of Namibia, where he contributes to the national economic discourse and development.

Nesdha holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Compliance from the University of Johannesburg, a Bachelor of Technology in Economics (with distinction) from the Namibia University of Science and Technology, and multiple professional certifications, including Project Management Professional and Process Improvement. His leadership training includes senior management programs from Stellenbosch University and the University of Cape Town.
