RichAfrica Consultancy unveils future energy leaders legacy program

RichAfrica Consultancy has announced the launch of ‘Future Energy Leaders Legacy’ program at Namibia International Energy Conference (NIEC) 2024. This legacy initiative which aims to foster the growth and development of the next generation of energy leaders in Namibia.

“For now, we are seeking six (6) individuals who demonstrate a passion for contributing to the energy sector and creating positive change, innovative thinking, strong leadership potential, and a commitment to the development of Namibia and its people,” said Ndapwilapo Selma Shimutwikeni, CEO of RichAfrica Consultancy, and convenor of NIEC.

Shimutwikeni continues “As the energy landscape evolves, it is imperative to embrace and nurture passionate young individuals who are ready to make a lasting impact.”

The ‘Future Energy Leaders Legacy’ program invites driven individuals to join a movement in shaping the future of energy. This unique initiative is designed to cultivate a diverse community of emerging leaders committed to driving innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity in the energy sector.

Participants in this program will have the exclusive opportunity to:

  • Attend the upcoming Namibia International Energy Conference from 23-25 April 2024 for free.
  • Access mentorship and guidance from established leaders in the field.
  • Network with like-minded energy professionals, fostering meaningful connections and partnerships.

Application process is easy. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications to info@richafricaco.com by writing a two-page essay around the theme of the conference ‘Reimagine Resource-Rich Africa: Turning Possibilities into Prosperity,’ along with reasons for wanting to attend the conference. The deadline for submissions is 17H00 on 15 April 2024.

To qualify, applicants must fall within the following categories and provide proof:

  • Students with a valid student ID (under 35 years), enrolled in a degree or program in the energy field or a related one.
  • Recent Graduate Students who have completed a degree in the energy or related field and are interested in pursuing a career in the energy sector.
  • Young Professionals at the start of their careers working in the energy sector or a related field.

This initiative is supported by one of the sponsors of NIEC 2024, Shearwater, a global marine geoscience, and technology business that studies the ocean floor and beneath to discover natural resources. Energy companies seek this information to plan future targeted explorations, ensuring responsible use of the Earth’s resources.
