NASRIA ushers in new dawn

…as special risk insurer rebrands and recommits to excellence

Namibia Special Risk Insurance Limited (NASRIA) last week launched its new brand identity which reflects the company’s commitment to providing innovative and customer-centric insurance solutions to individuals and businesses in Namibia.

The launch event was held at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and was attended by key stakeholders in the insurance industry, including senior executives from NASRIA Ltd, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.

During the event, NASRIA Ltd unveiled its new brand identity, which includes a new logo, color scheme, and visual identity. The new brand identity is designed to reflect the company’s values and modernise the and following its conversion from an association to a public enterprise in 2019.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new brand identity, which reflects our commitment to providing exceptional service and value to our customers,” said John Uusiku, COO of NASRIA Ltd. “Our new brand identity is more than just a logo; it represents our vision for the future of the insurance industry in Namibia.”

The launch event also provided an opportunity for attendees to learn more about NASRIA LTD’s products and services, including its innovative new and emerging insurance solution, the Weather Index Based Insurance Scheme (WIBLI) that is set to revolutionise Namibia’s agricultural sector.

“With an enhanced focus on risk assessment, management, and mitigation, NASRIA aims to provide comprehensive solutions that go beyond traditional special risks insurance coverage. Innovation has always been at the core of NASRIA’s philosophy. We understand that the special risks insurance industry demands constant adaptation to emerging trends and challenges. Therefore, we have invested heavily in a soon to be unveiled Weather Index Based Livestock Insurance (WIBLI) scheme that is set to revolutionalise the agricultural sector.

“In this endeavour, NASRIA has embraced a collaborative approach by forging strategic partnerships with industry leaders and experts. Uusiku’s remarks were reiterated by NASRIA Board chairperson, Adrianus Vugs who noted that rebranding of NASRIA’s brand identity signifies their dedication to innovation, customer-centricity, and staying ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving industry.

“I encourage all stakeholders in the insurance sector to continue working together to enhance financial literacy, promote consumer protection, and develop innovative products that meet the evolving needs of our society. Also speaking at the event, Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises, iipumbu Shiimi said government recognizes the growing influence of the special risks insurance industry, its contribution to the economy and its role in promoting financial inclusion and risk management.

“To the entire NASRIA team therefore, continue to sour on this path and define the present and future of our special risk insurance industry. We have no doubt that the leadership is capable to deliver a sustainable entity that is constantly looking towards the future.

“I would like to commend you for your commitment to excellence and your current contribution to the development of Namibia’s insurance sector. The rebranding of NASRIA’s brand identity signifies your dedication to innovation, customer-centricity, and responsible business practices. I believe that NASRIA is well-positioned to continue its leadership in the special risks insurance industry and contribute to the sustainable development of our nation,” he said.

The launch of NASRIA Ltd’s new brand identity is a significant milestone for the company and the insurance industry in Namibia.
