Discover Namibia expo and business conference returns

The Discover Namibia (Vol. 2) MSME & township economy expo and business conference is set to take place on 29 June to 01 July 2023 in the scenic international tourism resort city, Swakopmund. This event is organized and facilitated by Africa Economic Leadership (AELC) and the Hafeni Afrika Tourism Group.

AELC is a Pan-African business networking and Intra Africa trade promotion organization with roots in Namibia and neighboring South Africa. Held under the theme “Unpacking Trade and Investment Opportunities for All Africans. This three-day event will be held at the Mondesa Multi-Purpose Centre in the vibrant Mondesa township.

The program will feature keynote speakers, robust panel discussions and trade and investment presentations and workshops aimed at connecting African entrepreneurs, policy makers and key economic stakeholders across Africa to address challenges hampering cross border trade across multiple industries and highlight endless trade prospects under the Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA).

AELC co- founder and president, Heinrich Hafeni confirmed that preparations are underway to host yet another successful and impactful event with the help of strategic empowerment partners.

“We are currently engaging all key strategic partners and industry stakeholders to offer their support by empowering and funding MSME’s and local small -scale innovators to be part of this year’s exhibition which welcomes all proudly African entrepreneurs, corporates, embassies, GRN/SOE’s, NGO’s and Town Councils”.

Heinrich added that AELC wishes to boost township and village economies towards access to continental markets and integrated trade networks which will accelerate implementation of the AfCFTA. Delegates will gain valuable insights into the latest trends, strategies and best practices in key sectors such as agriculture and food security, finance & technology, renewable energy, tourism, digitalization, manufacturing and value addition…and more, towards shared economic prosperity.

AELC aims to establish and foster business and entrepreneurial synergies across the African Continent and in line with Africa Union (AU) Agenda 2063, the AELC envisions the acceleration of inclusive and sustainable economic leadership in Africa and is dedicated to yet again bring together a diverse group of policy makers and business leaders to offer solutions to Africa’s most pressing matters.

Approximately 80 exhibition stalls will be allocated and youth and women traders are encouraged to take part in this visionary event. The venue will host about 200 delegates for the 2-day conference which will be closed off with an extravagant Africa Day Networking Gala Dinner on Saturday, 3rd day. AELC invites all African entrepreneurs and trade enthusiast to attend this visionary and exciting event.
