Telecom Namibia appoints Kristofine Itembu-Naunyango as Head: Legal Services & Regulatory Affairs

Telecom Namibia has appointed Kristofine Aili Itembu-Naunyango as Head: Legal Services & Regulatory Affairs, effective 4 August 2025. Nanyango brings a wealth of experience in Corporate Governance, Legal Services and Regulatory Affairs.

In the new role, Kristofine will be responsible for leading TN’s Legal Department with a commitment to guide our legal strategy, compliance and supporting the business objectives with sound governance and principled leadership.

Prior to joining Telecom Namibia, Kristofine was employed by the former holding company (now dismantled by Law), the Namibia Post & Telecom Holdings (NPTH). She joined the company on Ist August 2018 as the substantive Company Secretary, and in the same month (16 August 2018) was appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer until December 2021.

In 2022, she was appointed as the substantive Chief Executive Officer of the holding company until 31 July 2025. Under her leadership, NPTH declared dividends in excess of N$7 Billion to the Government of the Republic of Namibia.

In respect of her employment history, Kristofine has over 15 Years Executive & Senior Management experience within corporate, legal, governance & strategic leadership. Her previous employment history includes tenures at MVA, NAMCOL, Namibia Fish Consumption Promotion Trust (NFCPT), National Youth Service (NYS). She brings vast wealth of knowledge, and strategic guidance to Telecom Namibia. Kristofine has demonstrated over the years to be an Authentic, Decisive and Transformational Leader who believed in herself and that the people around her remained her greatest assets. Furthermore, she has a passion and a strong drive to capacitate and transform her employees to become a better version of themselves.

Kristofine is a Law graduate from the University of East London in the United Kingdom and further obtained her Master of Leadership and Change Management from the Harrold Pupkewitz Graduate Business School at NUST. Moreover, she is now a PHD candidate at the Namibia Business School, University of Namibia.

In addition, the incumbent has attended several Professional Management Development Programmes over the years.
