NYEF partners with Namibia Oil and Gas

…collaboration towards Namibia Energy Connect & Energy Trailblazer Awards 2025

The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF) has announced a transformative three-year strategic partnership with Namibia Oil and Gas energy news and resource hub. This partnership is significant as it supports NYEF’s mission to champion youth inclusion, access, and visibility within Namibia’s fast-growing energy sector.

As Namibia continues to develop as a key player in Africa’s energy future, Namibia Oil and Gas is evolving into more than a media outlet. It is a Namibian-born and bred strategic connector, a knowledge resource, and a partner in responsible development in the oil and gas sector. Through this newly formalized partnership, the Namibia Youth Energy Forum has access to the Namibia Oil and Gas Resource Hub for the duration of the three-year agreement. This includes providing members with free access to Namibia Oil and Gas’ Resource Data Hub. They will have access to the centralized platform for news, information, and a database nexus for industry stakeholders. Here, local SMEs and businesses can network, find tenders, and advertise their capabilities within the oil and gas sector.

Speaking on the Partnership, Teneal Goagoses, Content Manager of Namibia Oil and Gas, explained, “We believe the future of Namibia’s energy sector must be inclusive, dynamic, and forward-looking. Partnering with NYEF lets us support and scale youth engagement at a time when it’s needed most. This strategic partnership creates real pathways for young Namibians to shape the energy conversation, influence policy, and participate meaningfully in local content development.”

Since its inception, Namibia Oil and Gas has focused on creating accessible, accurate, and locally relevant industry content. The platform bridges the gap between technical developments and public understanding, with reports that span exploration news, investment trends, policy updates, and ground-level energy conversations. With an audience and stakeholders, including policymakers, energy executives, journalists, students, and entrepreneurs, the platform is positioned to elevate youth voices to both national and international audiences.

The Namibia Youth Energy Forum, founded as a movement to spotlight youth in energy policy and implementation, has grown into a structured and respected space for engagement. From capacity-building workshops to policy dialogues, the forum has proven its value in ensuring that Namibian youth are not mere bystanders, but active participants in shaping a sustainable and inclusive energy future.

Speaking on the Partnership, Fanuel Shinedima, Founder of Namibia Youth Energy Forum explained, “This partnership is more than a milestone—it’s a movement. By joining forces with Namibia Oil and Gas, we are unlocking doors for young Namibians to not only witness the energy revolution but to lead it. This collaboration is a declaration that youth are not the future—they are now. Together, we are building a sector that reflects the brilliance, innovation, and leadership of Namibia’s next generation. The energy transition must be inclusive, and with this partnership, we are making that vision a reality.”

This partnership comes at a critical time for Namibia. Following multiple high-profile offshore discoveries and a wave of international investment, the country’s energy sector is on the cusp of exponential growth. As the world’s focus turns to Namibia, the need to develop local content, local skills, and local leadership is more pressing than ever.
