47 SME installers trained to elevate customer experience and service efficiency

In a significant step toward enhancing customer satisfaction and operational excellence, 47 independent installers contracted as Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) Spectra Services installers have successfully completed a one-week comprehensive training program focused on connectivity installations, customer service, and professional efficiency.

The training initiative is aimed at equipping field technicians with the latest skills and best practices to deliver seamless installation experiences and superior customer interactions. Over the course of the program, participants engaged in hands-on sessions and interactive workshops designed to improve technical proficiency, customer onboarding, customer application assessment processes, communication skills, and time management.

“This training is part of our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers,” said Tim Ekandjo, Chief Brand, Corporate Affairs, Marketing and Sustainability Officer at MTC.

“By investing in our installers, we’re not only improving the quality of our installations but also ensuring that every customer interaction reflects our values of professionalism, reliability, and care. We will extend the same training to the installers in the regions – north, south and the coastal regions.

The newly trained installers are now better prepared to handle a wide range of connectivity solutions, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and provide a customer-first approach in every service call. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce installation times, increase first-time resolution rates, and boost overall customer satisfaction, said Ekandjo.

MTC plans to continue investing in contractor development through regular training programs and performance support tools, reinforcing its position as a leader in customer-centric service delivery.

Whilst the current training is only for installers from the central parts of Namibia, more training is planned for the south, northwest and northeastern part of Namibia.
