FNB insurance launches road safety partnership with LEFA Namibia

FNB Insurance has announced the official launch of its partnership with LEFA Transportation Services Namibia aimed at promoting responsible driving and enhancing road safety in Namibia. The partnership is designed to reduce road-related incidents and will see FNB Insurance clients receive two LEFA voucher codes valid for two trips every two months for use in Windhoek and its surrounding areas.

The announcement was made at a press briefing in Windhoek by FNB Insurance Chief Executive Officer Georg Garrels who emphasised the significance of the collaboration. “This partnership has been a long time coming. It’s about extending value to clients while making our roads safer and what better way than to partner with a trusted local SME.”

Melkisedek Ausiku, Founder of LEFA Transportation Services expressed his gratitude to FNB Insurance for the opportunity. “Your faith in local SMEs and entrepreneurs speaks volumes. I’d like to encourage more corporates to support and partner with more SMEs, there are many out there doing great things,” he said.

Ileni Shithigona, Marketing Manager for FNB Insurance, highlighted the broader purpose of the partnership. “This is more than just adding value for our clients. It’s about doing our part to keep all Namibians safe on our roads.”

Garrels concluded by encouraging clients to make responsible decisions during social outings “Namibians are social people, however, with that comes the responsibility of keeping our people and roads safe. This is where the LEFA partnership truly comes into play,” he added.

The LEFA voucher codes will be readily available to all FNB Insurance clients every two months and can be used to cover two trips in and around the Windhoek area. Customers residing outside the capital are however encouraged to redeem when visiting the city.
