The Odfjell Drilling-managed 7,500-ft semisubmersible Deepsea Bollsta is leaving Namibian waters and is expected to arrive in the Canary Islands by mid-March 2025 before moving on to the North Sea.
Deepsea Bollsta recently completed work for Chevron in the Orange Basin. The Northern Ocean-owned rig will be relocating to Norway, where it has contracts with two different operators lined up. These include a two-year term with Equinor with options that could keep it in Norwegian waters into 2032 if exercised.
