The Swakopmund community now have access to a fully equipped computer laboratory made possible by a donation of 20 computers and two printers to the Mondesa Community Library by Langer Heinrich Uranium.
The donation which is valued at N$300,357.00, was made at a special event on Friday, 17 January 2025 at the Mondesa Community Library where Langer Heinrich Uranium’s Managing Director, Johan Roux said the Mondesa Community Library’s tagline, “Oasis of knowledge” speaks to the living proof of giving real support to the community.
“We believe that books and computers are carriers of knowledge. It educates, empower and give life to the exchange of ideas. We wish that our donation of computers and printers will be instruments to unlock the untapped potential in our community and to support the wonderful staff of the library in the important work they do. Going forward, community involvement remains one of Langer Heinrich Mine’s core values and I would like to reaffirm our commitment to continue to be fully part of the community of the mighty Erongo region.”
