Choppies Namibia opens its 20th store

Choppies Namibia has announced the successful opening of its new store in Mondesa.

This grand opening marks a significant milestone for the company, featuring a deli, bakery, and butchery.

The new store is a testament to Choppies Namibia’s commitment to bringing fresh products to the community and ensuring that residents have access to a wide range of high-quality goods.

With this new addition, Choppies Namibia now boasts a total of 20 outlets in the country. Choppies is now present in 12 regions across Namibia, with plans to expand into Ohangwena and Hardap soon.

Nationwide, Choppies has created 968 jobs, contributing significantly to local employment. Across Southern Africa, Choppies employs an impressive 10,000 people.

The grand opening was officiated by Her Honourable Worship, the Mayor Dina Namubes Samuline Ngairo, and Honourable Neville Andre, Erongo Governor. The event was attended by local dignitaries, business leaders, and members of the community.

One of the key highlights of this expansion is the creation of 42 new job opportunities and 9 transfers, totaling 51 jobs.

This reflects Choppies Namibia’s dedication to contributing to the economic development of the country. The opening ceremony also included a special donation handover to the Stepping Stone School, which educates children with autism, Down syndrome, and related disabilities.

The donation will support the organisation’s efforts to provide vital services and support to these deserving individuals. “We are honored to support Stepping Stone School,” said Deon Bauermeister.

“This donation underscores our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. We believe in fostering strong community relationships and supporting those who need it most.”

The new Choppies Namibia Mondesa store is now open for business, offering a wide range of products including fresh produce, meat, dairy products, and household goods.
