Rachel Mushabati appointed as Senior Associate at CLG

Pan-African legal and business advisory group CLG – formerly Centurion Law Group – has appointed Namibian lawyer Rachel Mushabati as Senior Associate, as the firm solidifies its commitment to tackling complex legal issues across Africa’s oil and gas sector. Committed to supporting clients in developing Africa’s energy resources, the appointment aligns with the firm’s stated goal of consolidating its position as the leading legal practice and business advisor in the African energy space.

Mushabati holds demonstrated experience working in the oil and gas industry, having previously served as the Downstream Legal Advisor for Namibia’s national oil company (NOC) NAMCOR until March of this year. Prior to her appointment as Downstream Legal Advisor, Mushabati worked for the NOC as a legal assistant from January 2019 to February 2020. Mushabati holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Namibia, as well as a Certificate in Commercial and Contract Law from the University of Cape Town. She also holds a Certificate in Oil and Gas Industry Operations and Markets from Duke University and a Certificate in Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Resolution from ESSEC Business School. In April 2024, Mushabati was admitted as a legal practitioner to the High Court of Namibia.
