Mutorwa appointed as Deputy Prime Minister, Mushelenga now International Relations Minister

…as President Mbumba effects changes to the Executive

President Nangolo Mbumba has made key changes to his Executive with works minister John Mutorwa being appointed deputy prime minister while Peya Mushelenga is the new minister of international relations. Mutorwa also retains his works portfolio.

ICT deputy minister Emma Theofelus is now full minister of that portfolio.

Mbumba also appointed Modestus Amutse as deputy minister of information and communication technology.

All the appointments are with effect from 9 February 2024.

“His Excellency, President Nangolo Mbumba takes this opportunity to express confidence and trust in the ability, commitment and fairness with which all the appointees will discharge their duties and responsibilities for the benefit of the Namibian people,” the Presidency said in a statement.
