Midas Minerals has reported wide, high-grade copper and silver intercepts from the south-eastern extension of the Spaatzu Prospect at its Otavi Copper Project in Namibia. The latest drilling has outlined consistent, shallow mineralisation dominated by chalcocite, with the drill-tested copper-silver zone now extending over 1.2km within a broader 4km anomalous corridor.
The company has two rigs active at Spaatzu and seven across Otavi, with plans to increase to nine as it pursues both exploration and resource drilling. Management sees significant resource potential in the Spaatzu corridor and expects initial mineral resource estimates for Spaatzu and Deblin, along with an updated T-13 resource, in early 2027, underscoring Otavi’s growing strategic importance for Midas.
