Finance Minister unveils new board appointments for NAMFISA, MVA, NamRA and Agribank

The Minister of Finance has announced a sweeping round of new appointments and reappointments to the boards of directors of four major public enterprises, effective from 1 April 2026.

The changes, made in terms of the Public Enterprises Governance Act No.1 of 2019, will see new leadership and renewed terms for board members at the Agricultural Bank of Namibia (AgriBank), the Namibia Financial Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA), the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA), and the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA). All appointments are for a three-year period, running until 31 March 2029.

At AgriBank, Ms. Sylvia Makgone has been appointed as the new Chairperson. She is joined by new appointees Mr. Adrianus Vugs, Ms. Foibe Fabiano, Dr. Kakujaha Matundu, and Ms. Victoria L.H. Mbunje.

The board of NAMFISA will be led by Mr. Brian S. Masule, who steps into the role of Chairperson as a new appointee. Ms. Selma Ambunda has been reappointed as Deputy Chairperson, with Ms. Venekola Shoombe, Ms. Damoline Muruko, and Prof. Jacob Nyambe joining as new members.

At the MVA, the Minister has reappointed Ms. Namene Shejavali as Chairperson and Mr. Damien Mabengano as Deputy Chairperson. Mr. Magnus Nangombe has also been reappointed, while new appointees to the board include Mrs. Ailly Titus, Ms. Charlotte Haingura, Dr. Akutu A. Munyika, and Mr. Jaquue S. Jansen.

The board of NamRA sees the reappointment of Mr. Peter Kruger as Chairperson. Dr. Ndatega V.A. Shikalepo has been appointed as the new Deputy Chairperson, with Dr. Helmuth Naweseb, Dr. Mubusisi Mac-Beath Mabuku, and Ms. Ndahambela Ndoroma-Ipinge joining as new appointees.
