SanlamAllianz has announced the upcoming 2026 SanlamAllianz Coastal Marathon, scheduled to take place in Swakopmund on Saturday, 25 April 2026. This year’s theme, “Past your limits, led by confidence,” reflects not only our purpose to empower generations to be financially confident, secure, and prosperous, but also our commitment to caring for our clients and communities through initiatives that promote health, wellbeing, and active living. In line with our values, the marathon underscores our belief that when individuals are healthy, supported, and confident, they are better equipped to thrive in every aspect of life.
In 2025, Sanlam in Namibia completed its strategic rebrand to SanlamAllianz, marking the integration of two powerful global financial services leaders. This transformation combines Sanlam’s deep African heritage with Allianz’s global expertise, strengthening our ability to deliver innovative, reliable and future‑fit solutions for all clients.
As part of this evolution, the marathon previously known as the Sanlam Coastal Marathon now proudly carries its new identity as the SanlamAllianz Coastal Marathon. The refreshed name reflects our unified brand, broader capabilities, and continued investment in community upliftment, wellness, and athletic development in Namibia.
The SanlamAllianz Coastal Marathon remains one of Namibia’s most anticipated running events, promoting physical and mental wellbeing while offering a platform to nurture local athletic talent. This fully‑funded marathon is designed to create an exceptional experience for athletes, families, and supporters alike.
To inspire excellence and expand opportunities for Namibian runners, SanlamAllianz announces the following prizes for the 2026 race:
42KM Winners (Male & Female)
Will receive a fully paid trip to compete in the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, continuing a long-standing tradition of offering international exposure.
21KM Winners (Male & Female)
Will receive an exciting fully paid trip to Botswana, where they will visit our sister company Botswana Life, strengthening cross-border sporting and brand relations.
Lucky Draw Prize
One participant stands a chance to win a weekend getaway at a beautiful Gondwana lodge, celebrating the spirit of adventure and exploration.

In preparation for the race, SanlamAllianz will host a Sports and Wellness Session themed “Running Smarter in Namibia: Injury prevention, Recovery and Longevity” in partnership with the Divas and Gents Sports and Fitness Centre on 26 February 2026.
This session will equip runners with professional guidance on safe training techniques, injury prevention, and performance longevity.
