Namibia civil aviation authority retains iso 9001:2015 certification

The Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced that its Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) Unit, under the Air Navigation Services Department has successfully retained its ISO 9001:2015 certification.

This achievement underscores the Authority’s unwavering commitment to excellence in civil aviation safety, quality, and service delivery. ISO 9001:2015 is a globally acknowledged standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring that the NCAA consistently meet stakeholder expectations through effective processes, continuous improvement, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. This re-certification significantly boosts Namibia’s civil aviation sector by establishing systematic procedures that enhance the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of aeronautical data.

Moreover, this achievement elevates Namibia’s credibility on compliance to Namibia Civil Aviation Regulations (NAMCARs) and International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards and recommended practises. It further promotes increased safety and operational efficiency via standardised workflows, quicker response times, and minimised disruptions, thereby fostering confidence in the country’s civil aviation infrastructure.

Commenting on this achievement, Toska Sem: Executive Director of the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority stated, “Retaining our ISO 9001:2015 certification reflects our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards in aviation safety and service delivery.
