In a strategic move to bolster its leadership team, TransNamib Holdings Ltd. has announced the appointment of Mr. Johannes Kapiye as its new Executive: Operations, effective 15 January 2026.
Kapiye, a seasoned Namibian supply chain and logistics professional, brings a wealth of experience from the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. With over 13 years specializing in operational transformation and logistics optimization, he is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing TransNamib’s operational efficiency and service delivery.
His most recent position was at Namibia Breweries Ltd, where he served for over 14 years, culminating in the role of Manager: Logistics, Customer Services and Planning (CSLP). In this capacity, he was responsible for leading a large team of more than 400 employees and managing complex logistics operations spanning over 20 countries. A notable achievement during his tenure was spearheading initiatives that reduced transport costs by more than 14%, demonstrating a proven track record in cost management and process improvement.
Academically, Kapiye is well-grounded with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Namibia and an Honours Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST).
