FNB Namibia appoints Carpio Minnaar as operations head

FNB Namibia Retail has announced the appointment of Carpio Minnaar as Head of Operations.

With over 15 years of experience in strategic business optimisation, operations leadership, and regulatory compliance, Minnaar brings a wealth of expertise from the banking, ICT, and telecommunications sectors. His professional journey includes senior and executive roles at Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC), Nedbank Namibia, and MTN Business Solutions.

Recognised for his results-driven approach, his ability to align operations with organisational goals and driving operational efficiency. His deep industry knowledge and collaborative leadership style will play a key role in strengthening FNB Namibia Retail’s operational and service delivery.

As Head of Operations, Minnaar will provide strategic and tactical direction while overseeing the coordination and management of the Retail segment’s operations. His role will focus on driving operational efficiency, maintaining data accuracy across platforms, mitigating risk, supporting product development, ensuring compliance, and enhancing both customer and employee experiences.

Minnaar has pursued an extensive academic path, combining legal, financial, and technical disciplines. He holds a BCOM Law degree and a Higher Certificate in Project Management from STADIO Higher Education, a Certificate in Banking from UNISA, and an IT Management Certificate from the University of Cape Town. He has also completed a Compliance Certificate and earned a Certificate in Telecommunications Policy, Regulation, and Management from the University of the Witwatersrand.
