Dantagos Naomi Jimmy appointed CEO of Bankers Association of Namibia

The Bankers Association of Namibia (BAN) has announced the appointment of Dantagos Naomi Jimmy as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2025.

Jimmy brings to BAN over two decades of experience spanning investment management, financial markets, corporate governance, and strategic advisory. She is the Founder of Ndapunikwa Investment Management (Pty) Ltd and has held senior, executive and technical roles at esteemed institutions including the Bank of Namibia, Alexander Forbes Investments, and IJG Securities. Her career reflects a consistent commitment to innovation, excellence, and long-term impact within Namibia’s financial sector.

Dantagos Naomi Jimmy holds a BSc in International Management from La Roche College, USA, demonstrating an early commitment to global business dynamics. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Development Finance at the University of Namibia, further deepening her expertise in economic development.

Complementing her academic profile, she earned an MBA in General and Strategic Management from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands and completed executive training through the Senior Management Development Program at the University of Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa.

Beyond academia, Jimmy has contributed meaningfully to governance and institutional leadership across a variety of sectors. She has served as a non-executive director and trustee for a range of respected organisations, including Simonis Storm Securities, TransNamib Holdings, Namibia Health Plan, and Allan Gray Namibia. She currently chairs the University of Namibia Foundation and is recognised as an honorary member of the Namibia Institute of Corporate Governance.

Jimmy’s appointment marks a defining moment for BAN, as the Association strengthens its role in facilitating meaningful collaboration among financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, supporting Namibia’s financial resilience and sustainable economic progress.
